ROSA One

ROSA One is the newest technological of precision medicine minimally invasive surgery. ROSA One can map out the surgical path during pre-operative preparation and, through the use of optical navigation and real-time 3D imaging, assist the surgeon using a robotic arm to precisely follow the pre-op mapping during surgery, making surgery faster, more precise and leaving a smaller wound.

Indications:

The NaviENT surgical navigation system in conjunction with the integrated tracking system and cart features quick start up and ease of movement, delivering simplicity, convenience and safety compared to the spaghetti of cables of traditional operating room equipment. AKTORmed is a 6-degree-of-freedom robotic holding arm designed to simulate human hand movements from multiple angles while providing a stable endoscopic surgical image. With the aid of a control joystick for precise manipulation, it offers a 360˚ range of movement and a 90˚ vertical visual angle during endoscopic procedures. This not only allows surgeons to concentrate more on the surgery, thereby enhancing its quality, but also alleviates the stiffness and discomfort caused by manual endoscope handling, reducing the risk of occupational injuries. During surgery, MAKO system can assist to accurately remove diseased bones to help preserve the maximal healthy bone, thereby reducing the unnecessary invasive damage. Best Theratronics GammaCell 1000/3000

Gammacell series products provide hospitals and research organizations with options for high-intensity irradiation processes. The AABB recommends a dose of 25 Gy for immunocompromised patients or patients with genetic factors to avoid incidence of TA-GVHD (transfusion-associated graft-versus host disease). Decreasing the activity of leukocytes in the blood reduces the risk of TA-GVHD. Gammacells simply achieves this with an internal high-intensity Cs-137 radiation source in a mechanical design delivering ease of use and stable operation. The extremely thick integrated lead shield protects the operator from being exposed to radiation and the room it is installed in does not require any additional radiation protection and is suitable for research applications using the special manufacturer supplied chamber.

Based on advances in radiation technology and concerns over continuous exposure to the sources of radiation, the MK series provides an alternative for high-intensity radiation experiments and blood irradiation. A high kV X-ray tube using the sa¬¬¬¬me integrated lead shielding system irradiates the object, eliminating the problem of radiation source decay and also having the advantage of only emitting radiation when powered on. In addition to reducing operators’ concerns about continuous radiation from the instrument, this innovative radiation source has removed the management and storage costs of retired radiation instruments. The assemblage of the instrument is complex ,however, requiring more effort to maintain.

Recognizing the trend toward surgical robots, we teamed up with the UHG company, Intuitive Surgical Inc., to establish a new venture called Unison Surgicals, and promote the da Vinci Surgical System's minimally invasive surgical robot. By 2018, the venture had successfully cultivated the market with an installed capacity of over 40 units covering all of medical centers in Taiwan. We had more than 500 doctors trained, annual surgeries performed exceeding 8,000 per year, and extensive application in seven major medical departments.
