Mutually Beneficial Cooperation with UHG A Trusted Strategic Partner

We select and introduce solutions into Taiwan that benefit individuals and the medical environment, drawing on our over 65 years of professional medical industry experience.
Introducing Taiwan's First Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System, First Computer Assisted Surgical Device
As part of our efforts to promote "precision treatment," we introduced Taiwan's first robotic arm interactive orthopedic system in 2013. The island's total number of surgeries in this area exceeds China, Japan, and Singapore.
We also took the lead in Asia by introducing its first computer-assisted surgical device, and in 2018 Taiwan witnessed its first use in the region for spinal surgery. By 2020, Taiwan ranked second in the world in cumulative spinal surgery applications.
Market Deployment of Da Vinci Surgical System
Recognizing the trend toward surgical robots, we teamed up with the US company, Intuitive Surgical Inc., to establish a new venture called Unison Surgicals, and promote the da Vinci Surgical System's minimally invasive surgical robot. By 2018, the venture had successfully cultivated the market with an installed capacity of over 40 units covering all of medical centers in Taiwan. We had more than 500 doctors trained, annual surgeries performed exceeding 8,000 per year, and extensive application in seven major medical departments. In the same year, Unison Surgicals was sold to Intuitive Surgical, Inc., with the two merged companies becoming a model for the industry.
Introducing Taiwan's First UVD Robot
We introduced the first UVD robot in 2019, with Asia's first and most comprehensive clinical test being carried out at Tungs' Taichung Metroharbor Hospital. In 2020, the continuing spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic and its worldwide prevention efforts highlight the importance of infection control in hospitals. Accordingly, our vigorous promotions in this area have prompted many medical centers and regional hospitals to take the initiative to contact us.
Taking the Lead to Introduce Advanced Imaging Health Examinations
We introduced concepts pioneered by the Japan YAMANAKA Imaging Center, the world's first high-level medical imaging health examination center. In 2000, the VGH-HT Imaging Center was established in collaboration with Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Representing only the fifth installation of the latest MRI equipment worldwide and the first installation in Asia, it was delivered to Taipei in full support of VGH-HT Imaging Center's adoption of MRI in innovative health examination programs.
