Taiwan Government and Civil Organizations Cooperated and Donated Anti-Cancer Drugs and Wheelchairs to National Cancer Center of Mongolia.

Representative of ROC (TAIWAN) to Mongolia, Huang, Kuo-jung, on behalf of two civil organizations in Taiwan, donated the drugs and wheelchairs to National Cancer Center of Mongolia to increase the resources of the cancer and related complications treatment, and aim to maximize the benefit to patients.

 

Unison Healthcare Group (UHG) had been assisting to collect the donated drugs Herocan®, which has been given to treat colorectal cancer.  Based on the extensive experience in Mongolia’s medical market, UHG cooperated with Taipei Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar to execute this donation campaign, to contribute to the Mongolia Society.

 

Representative office donated five wheelchairs, which are provided by Puhsein Education Foundation, hoping to help the disabled patients to minimize the inconvenience caused by cancer and related complications

 

“The drugs were very useful to the colorectal cancer patients and brought hope to them. Therefore, they expressed gratitude to Taiwan for the good deeds.” said Mr. KHURELSUKH S., deputy director of National Cancer Center of Mongolia.

 

In the speech, Representative Huang expressed his congratulations and respects on the excellent performance of the medical team, that they recently completed the first living liver transplant in Mongolia. He also said that the representative office is willing to work together with the National Cancer Center of Mongolia to provide better services for patients.

 

According to the current statistics, there are approximately 18,000 cancer patients in Mongolia, of which more than 6,000 were diagnosed with cancer and 4,003 people died of cancer last year.  It is obvious that the development of anti-cancer therapy has become a major medical and health issue in Mongolia.
